2018 is not a perfect vintage but Monvegliero is always amazing and surprising. Monvigliero is located in Verduno, Barolo. 250-310 meters above sea level. Calcareous slimy limestone, and it’s famous for the aroma.

Floral, rosy, a bit nutmeg, spicy, earthy on the nose, on the palate, it’s absolutely well-balanced. It’s tannic, full bodied for sure, but there is a feeling of lightness in the mouth, spiritual and pleasant lightness. I guess that’s the magic of Monvigliero.
